Eye injection

You may be concerned about the injection inside the eye for any reason and ask how to experience it. We assure you that intra-eye injections are a common and safety procedure that typically does not cause problems or unpleasant effects. The duration of this treatment is about 15 to 30 minutes and is done in the following order.
1- For the patient’s further relaxation and proper treatment, special drops of numbness are first used.
The patient is placed in a comfortable position.
3- The surface of the eyes and eyelids are carefully cleaned with disinfectant solutions.
4- A small device keeps the eyelids open during the injection process.
5- The patient is asked to look at the eye on which the injection is not done.
6- The eye doctor with a narrow needle injects the medicine into the eye. The patient may feel a little pressure and pain at this stage.
7- After injection, according to the ophthalmologist, antibiotic drops may be used
Patients in need of intraocular injections:
Some patients may need to be injected into the eye for a variety of reasons, which are mentioned below.
1- Patients with macular degeneration: This disease is a serious visual impairment that gradually advances if it is not treated and destroys the central view of the person.
2- Patients with macular edema: This condition causes swelling or increases the thickness of the macular and eliminates the central vision of the eye.
3- Diabetic retinopathy: This condition is common in patients with uncontrolled diabetes, and a new blood vessel is created and the normal function of the retina is disrupted. Diabetic retinopathy is the most common cause of blindness in people with blood sugar disease.
4-UV: This disease causes swelling and inflammation inside the eye.
5- Retinal vessel tissue: In this case, the veins that transfer blood from the outside of the eye to the retina are blocked.
6- An intra-eye infection called endophthalmitis.
