Chalazion

chalazion is a common disease that affects the eyelid and develops through the obstruction of the mychomin gland in the eyelid. Swelling (a cyst) is usually felt as a small lump that is rarely disinfected. If it becomes a problem and does not heal on its own, it can be removed with a small injection or surgery.

chagiation is a small liquid (which one) is full of small liquid (2 to 8 mm) that occurs in the eyelid and is common, and is sometimes called mybomyal cyst or tarasal cyst. The creation of chalazion in the upper eyelid is more common. At the same time, several shalazions may occur on a single eyelid or eyelids of both eyes. chalazion is different from the eyelash.

What causes shalazion?

Below the inner surface of the eyelid, there are small glands called the mybomine glands, and create a fat liquid called mybom to help keep the eye moist. If the gland is blocked, the smell cannot enter the tear, so it may swell and the cyst may develop and leak into the eyelid tissue, which causes inflammation. Over time, inflammation causes a lump (or granulum) in the eyelid. This rigid mass that lasts for a long time is called a shalazion.

chagiation is more common in people with eye blepharitis or skin disease such as eczema, because in this condition, myemia becomes thicker so the gland is easily blocked.

What are the symptoms of chalazion?

The usual sign is a small lump that develops on the eyelid.
Sometimes it causes mild pain or irritation of the eye, especially if the shalazion is just caused – and usually gets good.
Rarely, it’s disinfected. Then it becomes more swollen, red and painful.
It doesn’t affect the vision, although sometimes it gets so big that it puts pressure on the surface and reduces vision.

What is Chalazion Treatment?

Treatment may not be needed, as up to half of people recover without any treatment. Recovery may take between two and six months, and if you don’t have a problem with a chalization on the eyelid, it’s best to wait.
Warm compresses help reduce discomfort. Place a clean cotton cloth in warm water and regularly place it on your eye for 5 to 10 minutes and press a little. Repeat this 3-4 times a day. Sometimes this slight heat and pressure is enough to soften the swelling content full of liquid (ket), and it drains easily. (The water should be warm, not burning.)
In non-infectious cases, ointment, drops, and antibiotic drugs are not recommended, because they have no effect – the cyst content is infection-free (sterile).
Massage the cyst after a warm compress can cause the cyst to be discharged. Do this gently, with a clean finger or cotton, in the direction of the eyelashes.
Cleaning the eyelids twice a day destroys fat and dead skin cells that may cause cysts to form. Washing the edge of the eyelid with a baby shampoo solution or some special eye shampoos in hot water is ideal.
If the chalazion is a problem or persists, small surgery is another option for treatment. The surgery is usually performed under local anesthesia, although children and some adults may not tolerate it and require general anesthesia. The eyelid becomes numb, then a small incision is made inside the eyelid to remove the contents of the cyst and who is removed. After the operation, drops or antibiotic ointments are usually prescribed.

Are there complications?

chalazion are often not musk. Rarely, one cyst may become infected, and this infection can spread to the entire eyelid and tissue around the eye. The eyelid may be very swollen and red, or you may not be able to open the eye and may have pain and fever. If you have these types of complications called orbital cellulite, you should see a doctor immediately. Treatment of orbital cellulite with antibiotics is usually done through serum, in the hospital.

Will it happen again?

In most people, chalazion only happens once, however, some people are prone to the disease and may develop chalazion again. You can prevent chalaziation by using a hot water compress on the eyelid (as described above) and massage eyelids and washing every morning
