You may be concerned about the injection inside the eye for any reason and ask how to experience it. We assure you that intra-eye injections are a common and safety procedure that typically does not cause problems or unpleasant effects. The duration of this treatment is about 15 to 30 minutes and is done in the following order.

1- For the patient’s further relaxation and proper treatment, special drops of numbness are first used.
The patient is placed in a comfortable position.
3- The surface of the eyes and eyelids are carefully cleaned with disinfectant solutions.
4- A small device keeps the eyelids open during the injection process.
5- The patient is asked to look at the eye on which the injection is not done.
6- The eye doctor with a narrow needle injects the medicine into the eye. The patient may feel a little pressure and pain at this stage.
7- After injection, according to the ophthalmologist, antibiotic drops may be used

Patients in need of intraocular injections:

Some patients may need to be injected into the eye for a variety of reasons, which are mentioned below.
1- Patients with macular degeneration: This disease is a serious visual impairment that gradually advances if it is not treated and destroys the central view of the person.
2- Patients with macular edema: This condition causes swelling or increases the thickness of the macular and eliminates the central vision of the eye.

3- Diabetic retinopathy: This condition is common in patients with uncontrolled diabetes, and a new blood vessel is created and the normal function of the retina is disrupted. Diabetic retinopathy is the most common cause of blindness in people with blood sugar disease.
4-UV: This disease causes swelling and inflammation inside the eye.
5- Retinal vessel tissue: In this case, the veins that transfer blood from the outside of the eye to the retina are blocked.
6- An intra-eye infection called endophthalmitis.

What is a Vitrectomy

There are a variety of factors that threaten our vision and eye health; typically, ophthalmologists use different methods to treat vision disorders; the goal is to eliminate the disease and increase the quality of vision. Among these methods is Vitrectomysurgery.

It is a type of eye surgery that is used to treat some of the disorders of the retina and jujjai. The retina is a sensitive light tissue in the back of the eyeball. A jajjaji is a transparent and jelly ingredient that fills the middle part of the eye. In a Vitrectomy, the surgeon replaces it with a special solution.

Who Needs a Vitrectomy?
People who have been diagnosed with the following symptoms for their eyes are candidates for Vitrectomy surgery:

Diabe diabetic retinopathy, especially if there is bleeding and stretching on the retina.

– Some of the cases of retina separation

Infection of the inner parts of the eyeball

– Severe eye injury

– Macular wrinkles (central area of retina)

– Macular hole

– Following some disorders after cataract surgery

In order for our eyes to function optimally, the surface of the eye must always remain smooth and polished. Eye tears are responsible for this task and protect this important member about dust and pollution, and on the other hand, improve its function. In some people, the secretion of eye tears is difficult for the reasons we will mention. For example, in patients with the natural path of removing tears from the eye to the nose, it is very annoying and it is necessary to treat the disease with Dacriocysto Rhinostomy or DCR surgery.

In the eye DCR surgery, by creating a bone channel in the inner corner of the eye to the nose, it creates a new tear channel from which tears flow to the nose. Eye DCR surgery is performed in two ways:

1- The external method in external DCR eye surgery, first incision of one to two centimeters in the inner corner of the eye and on the outer wall of the nose is made to the tear bone to allow access to the dricossitunostomemia or tear duct.

Eye DCR surgery is performed by an eye specialist and preferably a plastic and repair eye specialist. In some patients, in order to maintain the survival of this new canal, it is necessary to place the silicone tube, from the tear holes of both the eyelids (pancetums) to the nose. The knot of this ring is in the nose. The tube is removed in the clinic after one or more months.

2- Through the nose, in this method of dCR eye surgery through the nose, a device called nasal endoscopy is used and there is no need for skin incision, and therefore the surgical site (scar) does not remain. Some patients choose this method due to the lack of surgical staff.

In this method, Endonoscopy Endonasal DCR, both plastic and reconstructive surgeons and nose surgeons operate jointly and in the form of teamwork.

One of the advantages of this surgical method, in addition to the lack of surgery on the patient’s skin, is that the patient is relieved of the problems inside his nose at the same time in surgery and hospitalization, and the surgery is possible.

The success of this surgical procedure is more than 95%. DCR endocscopic surgery, for the first time in Iran, was performed in the subspecialty clinic of Farabi branch of Motahari branch, and so far more than 800 Endo DCR surgeries have been successfully performed in this clinic with more than 95%.

From aesthetic point of view, the eyes are the most important part of the face. The eyes indicate the age of the person and reflect his or her emotional and mood, and unfortunately, the eyes and eyelids show signs of aging sooner than other parts of the body.

Plastic eyelid surgery, called “belpharoplasty”, is designed to remove excess skin, remove puffiness of the eyelids, and in some cases, to correct their shed, and its main purpose is to rejuvenate people’s faces.
Who is a candidate for eyelid surgery?
The best candidates for eyelid surgery are those who are at least 35 years old, and the loosening and hanging of the skin of the eyelids or puffiness under the eyes has caused unpleasant changes in their face (although, in exceptional cases, younger people who have found the above problems for certain reasons can also undergo surgery.)

For surgery, it is necessary that the person is generally healthy and does not have a specific disease. The person should have realistic and reasonable expectations of the surgery and its results, and in this regard, it can help to see the images before and after the surgery of other people and perhaps consult with people who have already had surgery.

It should be noted that blepharoplasty surgery does not improve these things:

1. Black Rings Around the Eye

2. Wrinkles around the eyelid and between the two eyebrows and forehead (it is a good method for correcting these cases of Botox injections).

3. Sagging eyebrows that require surgery at the same time as blepharoplasty surgery or separately in another session.

Glucoma or black water is the damage and destruction of the optic nerve, which usually occurs in conjunction with high pressure of the eye. In most cases, the disease occurs in the primary form and without a specific cause, but in some cases, it also occurs secondaryly to factors such as severe blows, diabetic bleeding, evascular strokes, excessive use of corticosteroids, etc.‏

The disease is divided into two main categories of closed-angle glucum and open angle glaucoma, based on the anatomical state of the eye. In terms of time, although most of them arise after the age of 40, they are possible to occur at any time in life. The two most common categories of this disease are congenital glaucoma and youth glaucoma. One of the predisposes factors for the occurrence of this disease is a positive family history, diabetes, old age, high number of nearsightedness, low corneal thickness, etc. He named.

shal1.jpg

chalazion is a common disease that affects the eyelid and develops through the obstruction of the mychomin gland in the eyelid. Swelling (a cyst) is usually felt as a small lump that is rarely disinfected. If it becomes a problem and does not heal on its own, it can be removed with a small injection or surgery.

chagiation is a small liquid (which one) is full of small liquid (2 to 8 mm) that occurs in the eyelid and is common, and is sometimes called mybomyal cyst or tarasal cyst. The creation of chalazion in the upper eyelid is more common. At the same time, several shalazions may occur on a single eyelid or eyelids of both eyes. chalazion is different from the eyelash.

What causes shalazion?

Below the inner surface of the eyelid, there are small glands called the mybomine glands, and create a fat liquid called mybom to help keep the eye moist. If the gland is blocked, the smell cannot enter the tear, so it may swell and the cyst may develop and leak into the eyelid tissue, which causes inflammation. Over time, inflammation causes a lump (or granulum) in the eyelid. This rigid mass that lasts for a long time is called a shalazion.

chagiation is more common in people with eye blepharitis or skin disease such as eczema, because in this condition, myemia becomes thicker so the gland is easily blocked.

What are the symptoms of chalazion?

The usual sign is a small lump that develops on the eyelid.
Sometimes it causes mild pain or irritation of the eye, especially if the shalazion is just caused – and usually gets good.
Rarely, it’s disinfected. Then it becomes more swollen, red and painful.
It doesn’t affect the vision, although sometimes it gets so big that it puts pressure on the surface and reduces vision.

What is Chalazion Treatment?

Treatment may not be needed, as up to half of people recover without any treatment. Recovery may take between two and six months, and if you don’t have a problem with a chalization on the eyelid, it’s best to wait.
Warm compresses help reduce discomfort. Place a clean cotton cloth in warm water and regularly place it on your eye for 5 to 10 minutes and press a little. Repeat this 3-4 times a day. Sometimes this slight heat and pressure is enough to soften the swelling content full of liquid (ket), and it drains easily. (The water should be warm, not burning.)
In non-infectious cases, ointment, drops, and antibiotic drugs are not recommended, because they have no effect – the cyst content is infection-free (sterile).
Massage the cyst after a warm compress can cause the cyst to be discharged. Do this gently, with a clean finger or cotton, in the direction of the eyelashes.
Cleaning the eyelids twice a day destroys fat and dead skin cells that may cause cysts to form. Washing the edge of the eyelid with a baby shampoo solution or some special eye shampoos in hot water is ideal.
If the chalazion is a problem or persists, small surgery is another option for treatment. The surgery is usually performed under local anesthesia, although children and some adults may not tolerate it and require general anesthesia. The eyelid becomes numb, then a small incision is made inside the eyelid to remove the contents of the cyst and who is removed. After the operation, drops or antibiotic ointments are usually prescribed.

Are there complications?

chalazion are often not musk. Rarely, one cyst may become infected, and this infection can spread to the entire eyelid and tissue around the eye. The eyelid may be very swollen and red, or you may not be able to open the eye and may have pain and fever. If you have these types of complications called orbital cellulite, you should see a doctor immediately. Treatment of orbital cellulite with antibiotics is usually done through serum, in the hospital.

Will it happen again?

In most people, chalazion only happens once, however, some people are prone to the disease and may develop chalazion again. You can prevent chalaziation by using a hot water compress on the eyelid (as described above) and massage eyelids and washing every morning
